The sculptures of Verena Ummingers show clear signs of being worked with hand and fingers. They are focused, well-proportioned and precisely colored in a dimension that is profoundly human. On one hand, the formations may recall figures and heads, on the other one has the impression to look onto reliquaries, which were created by a dedicated master of ceremonies.
